CNC Mill Operator

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate multi-axis CNC mills with FANUC controls.
  • Ability to design and build custom fixtures and jigs, and to conceptualize unique work holding solutions.
  • Understand feeds and speeds for various materials (stainless, Carbon, Aluminum, etc.)
  • Work with minimal supervision with limited detailed drawings or blueprints. 3D Models are the masters. Must be able to work independently to complete jobs from setup to final inspection.

Requirements

  • 10 + years' experience in a fast-paced machine shop environment.
  • 3 - 5 years' operating CNC machines Milling Machines.
  • Ability to conceptualize and execute machining projects from print/model to part, including planning, programming, machine setup, and machine operation.
  • Ability to maintain high tolerances and finishes in produced parts.
  • Experience machining a wide range of materials from hardened tool steels to plastics.
  • Passionate about prototyping, machining, and mechanical systems.
  • positive energy and attitude.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, able to interact and share ideas as a team player.
  • Able to work at a fast pace in a constantly changing environment with long hours and tight deadlines.
