Job Overview

Exaktheit, Inc. is a certified precision machining facility that adheres to AS 9100C / ISO 9001:2008 standards. We focus on high-precision CNC turning and milling operations, catering to both prototype and production requirements across various sectors, including aerospace and oil/gas.

We are currently in search of a skilled CNC Mill Machinist. This position plays a vital role in upholding our stringent production and quality benchmarks.

Position Summary:

The CNC Mill Machinist will be tasked with the fabrication of precision parts, both metallic and non-metallic, utilizing CNC vertical machining centers. Additional responsibilities may include various mechanical and maintenance activities within our dynamic machine shop environment.

Eligibility Requirements: Must be a US Citizen or Naturalized Citizen.

Language Proficiency: English (both verbal and written).

Qualifications:

  • At least seven years of experience in a machine shop setting, specifically with CNC vertical machining centers.
  • Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Skilled in part setups, basic CNC programming, and editing.
  • Ability to read and interpret part drawings, including GD&T.
  • Ownership of essential machinist tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in part inspection; familiarity with Zeiss CMM is a plus.
  • Knowledge of 5-axis machining centers is beneficial.
  • Understanding of basic geometry and trigonometry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines effectively.
  • Monitor machining processes and identify any non-conforming parts.
  • Implement advanced work-holding techniques.
  • Understand and utilize cutting tools and machine tool offsets.
  • Work independently and address issues as they arise.
  • Employ inspection tools to ensure parts meet quality specifications.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and moving workpieces/fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage: $23-$28, based on experience.
  • Health insurance, AFLAC coverage, paid holidays, and vacation time.
