We are currently in search of a skilled CNC Mill Machinist. This position plays a vital role in upholding our stringent production and quality benchmarks.
Position Summary:
The CNC Mill Machinist will be tasked with the fabrication of precision parts, both metallic and non-metallic, utilizing CNC vertical machining centers. Additional responsibilities may include various mechanical and maintenance activities within our dynamic machine shop environment.
Eligibility Requirements: Must be a US Citizen or Naturalized Citizen.
Language Proficiency: English (both verbal and written).
Qualifications:
- At least seven years of experience in a machine shop setting, specifically with CNC vertical machining centers.
- Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
- Skilled in part setups, basic CNC programming, and editing.
- Ability to read and interpret part drawings, including GD&T.
- Ownership of essential machinist tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience in part inspection; familiarity with Zeiss CMM is a plus.
- Knowledge of 5-axis machining centers is beneficial.
- Understanding of basic geometry and trigonometry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines effectively.
- Monitor machining processes and identify any non-conforming parts.
- Implement advanced work-holding techniques.
- Understand and utilize cutting tools and machine tool offsets.
- Work independently and address issues as they arise.
- Employ inspection tools to ensure parts meet quality specifications.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and moving workpieces/fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching may be required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive hourly wage: $23-$28, based on experience.
- Health insurance, AFLAC coverage, paid holidays, and vacation time.
