Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products by developing and executing test plans, identifying defects, and collaborating with the development team to resolve issues. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), testing methodologies, and be comfortable working in an agile environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Planning and Execution:

    • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
    • Execute manual and automated tests to ensure software quality at different stages of development.
    • Perform regression testing to validate fixes and enhancements.

  • Defect Management:

    • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools.
    • Collaborate with developers to reproduce, prioritize, and resolve defects.

  • Automation:

    • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
    • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.

  • Performance Testing:

    • Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to ensure software meets performance requirements.
    • Analyze test results and provide insights to improve software performance.

  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers, UX/UI designers) to understand requirements and provide feedback on usability and functionality.
    • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings as part of an agile team.

  • Documentation:

    • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of test procedures, results, and issues.
    • Ensure that all testing activities comply with company standards and policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Experience:

    • Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role.
    • Experience with both manual and automated testing.
    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Skills:

    • Proficient in using testing tools such as Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, etc.
    • Strong understanding of various testing types (functional, integration, regression, performance, etc.).
    • Good knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
    • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications:

    • ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent certification is a plus.

  • Experience:

    • Experience in testing mobile applications, web services, and APIs.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker).
