Position Summary:

 

The overall responsibility of this position is to ship, receive, store and account for product. This role also ensures that proper material handling procedures and safety policies are followed.

 

This list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·        Loads and unloads material within the warehouse or storage facility.

·        Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material within the facility

·        Contributes to warehouse operational objectives by executing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends.

·        Optimizes warehouse systems by understanding product handling and storage requirements; executes policies and procedures; may assist in developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.

·        Helps to maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

·        Secures property by adhering to protection and access policies and procedures.

·        Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

·        Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

 

·        Familiarity with warehouse organization, functions, objectives, policies and procedures.

·        Exposure and proficiency with an ERP system is preferred.

·        Aptitude with work orders and pick, pack and ship process.

·        Attention to detail and follow through.

·        Flexible with work hours and work days.

·        Makes sound decisions to ensure inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction.

·        Able to communicate effectively with staff in various departments and levels.

·        Interact positively with others.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

·        High school graduate or equivalent.

·        1-3 years related experience.

·        Demonstrated leadership skills.
