We are looking for a Accounting Analyst for our financial department at User Research International. This position requires flexibility and credibility; we need a hard-working person who is comfortable getting their feet wet and wearing multiple hats. This candidate will have a can-do attitude with a problem-solving mind. It will be their job to prepare financial statements that are timely and accurate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Processing invoices for assigned area of responsibility, while researching and resubmitting invoices that are short paid by payment offices
  • Analyzing unbilled report and provide reasons for unbilled variances and prepare billing reconciliations and analyses as needed.
  • Interact with functional departments to resolve billing issues.
  • Meet critical deadlines and achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Contributing to monthly balance sheet reconciliations and book necessary journal entries as part of month-end close
  • Help build budgets and rolling forecasts, including preparing and updating cash receipts forecast on a bi-weekly basis, incorporating A/R aging notes and other relevant factors
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management reporting with a specific focus on revenue: analyze results and variances to budget, prepare KPIs, and communicate insights to finance lead
Qualifications
  • A business degree in accounting or finance is required; CPA or working towards it is an asset
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in any of the following: accounting/reporting, financial planning and analysis, or similar
  • Highly organized, collaborative, detail-oriented: Able to prioritize tasks, works well under tight timelines while producing high quality deliverables
  • Team player and flexible: Understands the importance of ‘pitching in’ and able to deal with quickly changing priorities in a positive, productive manner
  • Strong oral and written communication skills: Interacts clearly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in Intuit, Salesforce, Resource Management and Excel is an asset
