Qualifications Include:

  • Applicants are required to possess a valid driver's license. Other restrictions apply.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Successful completion of a drug screening is mandatory upon hiring and throughout employment.
  • Reliable transportation to the Adkins shop is essential.
  • Experience with underground utilities.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in proximity to a high volume of fast-moving traffic.
  • Proven experience in highway construction, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience as a foreman/supervisor.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and techniques as well as relevant regulations, codes and standards.
  • Lead and supervise a team of laborers and operators to ensure the efficient execution of daily schedule.
  • Assist in the placement, movement, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
  • Conduct regular inspections of construction sites and enforce compliance with safety and Company policies.
  • Ensure that all tools, equipment and machinery are properly maintained and operated.
  • Complete Production Report and JSAs daily.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications and technical documents.
  • Maintain accurate records of labor, equipment and materials used and prepare required reports.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision making abilities with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and make sound judgements.
  • Plan and coordinate daily work schedules.
