Job Summary

Webber is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to support the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in the Highway and Bridge Construction department.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Acquire, organize, and review project submittals, ensuring timely distribution to relevant stakeholders.
  2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date plan drawings and revisions, facilitating effective project planning and execution.
  3. Create and maintain comprehensive project logs, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  4. Perform material take-offs, ensuring accurate calculations and timely procurement of necessary materials.
  5. Communicate effectively with owners, clients, and project stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on project progress.
  6. Calculate pricing and issue contracts and purchase orders for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  7. Schedule subcontractor work and supplier material deliveries, coordinating with project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  8. Maintain a highly organized work area, managing multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  9. Prepare and present reports, business correspondence, and project documents, ensuring clear and concise communication of project information.
  10. Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings, communicating project details and progress to various stakeholders.
  11. Read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Three or more years of related experience in project engineering, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  3. Proficiency in Primavera 3 and 6, as well as MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  5. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, as well as Construction Math concepts, to ensure accurate calculations and project execution.
  6. Valid driver's license for occasional travel, with the ability to physically maneuver in a construction environment.
  7. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, ensuring effective project decision-making.
  8. Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with abstract and concrete variables, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
