We are seeking full-time Speech and Language Pathologist Assistants to support our K-8 campuses. These individuals will help reduce or eliminate speech and language deficits that interfere with a student’s ability to achieve academic success. The Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant also works closely with the speech-language pathologists, school principal, and specialized services team to provide direct services for students who qualify for speech services.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.

  • Knowledge of state law and regulations governing special education.

  • Demonstrated mastery of content (speech-language pathology), assessment tools, effective intervention strategies, and overall special education process.

  • Belief and alignment with ReGeneration's core beliefs and educational philosophy.

  • 1-3 years of experience in an urban school setting is preferred.

  • Valid Speech Language Pathology Assistant licensure required.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor caseloads and maintain appropriate case records.

  • Performs all duties required as a member of the specialized services team, and state and federal laws.

  • Plans, prepares, delivers, and monitors the effectiveness of services for children with speech and language needs.

  • Implements Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the school principal, specialized services team, parents, and teachers for eligible pupils.

  • Collaborate with other Related Service Providers to ensure that the IEP team has the best picture of a student's profile.

  • Provides intervention strategies and uses data to evaluate effectiveness.

  • Submit records, IEP progress reports, and assignments by deadlines.

  • Maintains professional competence through professional development and other professional growth activities.

  • Assumes other related duties as assigned by the supervising Speech Language Pathologist, Case Manager, and Director of Specialized Services.

  • Implement and enhance the school’s systems and culture.

  • Build professional relationships and collaborate with the school principal, specialize services team, and other school staff to maximize the ability of ReGeneration Schools to support students’ academic and socio-emotional development.

  • May be required to work outside normal work days and office hours to meet operational deadlines.

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
