As a Junior Financial Analyst specializing in Financial Governance, you will support our finance team by ensuring adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulations. You will assist in monitoring financial performance, preparing reports, and analyzing data to support decision-making processes. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a keen interest in financial compliance and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Monitoring and Compliance:

    • Assist in monitoring financial transactions to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
    • Review and reconcile financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies and areas for improvement.
    • Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

    • Compile and analyze financial data to produce reports on financial performance and compliance.
    • Prepare documentation and presentations for financial reviews and audits.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.

  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial governance and control systems.
    • Collaborate with team members to enhance financial reporting processes and tools.

  • Communication and Coordination:

    • Liaise with internal departments to gather information and address financial queries.
    • Provide support during financial audits and regulatory reviews.

  • Administrative Support:

    • Maintain accurate and organized records of financial transactions and documentation.
    • Assist in scheduling and coordinating financial governance meetings and activities.
Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a field.

  • Experience:

    • 1-2 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related role (internships and entry-level positions are acceptable).

  • Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software (e.g., ERP systems).
    • Basic understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
