Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Under moderate supervision, fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and create simple patterns for aircraft interiors based on design and engineering drawings.

  • Perform upholstery tasks within design, customer, FAA, and Gulfstream specifications.

  • Complete installation and trim tasks per work order instructions and specs.

  • Fit panels, windows, headliners, sidewalls, and bulkheads; cut and surge carpets, fabricate parts, and install panels.

  • Create carpet patterns and handle installation.

  • Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Experience with commercial sewing machines, sergers, and hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades preferred.

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering documentation.

  • Able to use measuring tools and perform basic math.

  • Must be computer literate.

  • Able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 40 lbs, and work any shift.
