Job Summary
The Cook works in the kitchen preparing food for events held within CRVA facilities, such as Bojangles Entertainment Complex.
1. Essential Job Duties
- Has involvement in the development of food presentation concepts and ensures all food is presented in the manner it was intended
- Accomplishes tasks on the production list.
- Familiar with standard recipes and yields of all cold production
- Responsible for the production of all salad dressings, marinades, and sauces
- Delegates tasks to temp staff during the kitchen prep phase of the event.
- Ensures food ingredients are stored, labeled, and rotated properly.
- Responsible for all garnishes and cold production
- Assists in overseeing the compliance of all health and safety standards.
- Keeps a neat organized station during production.
- May perform other duties as required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes nights and weekends and possibly holidays.
- Consistently deliver the best in customer service. Model and be accountable ensuring the customers are always put first by living the CRVA Service Philosophy to deliver memorable customer experiences
- Champion CRVA’s mission, vision and core values and comply with organizations policies and procedures.
Scope of Responsibility
- This job has no budgetary responsibilities.
- This job will have periodic access to confidential data including customer quotes, and company plans, designs, and programs.
- This position is responsible through the direction of the Production Chefs for assisting managing the part time and temporary labor force utilized with-in the banquet kitchen.

- Ability to anticipate customer needs, builds positive relationships with customers and vendors, goes the extra mile to satisfy and exceed customer needs.
- Treats all customers and vendors with highest degree of respect and courtesy, and delivers exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Education and Experience
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of food Service equipment and general kitchen knowledge
- Serv-Safe Certified preferred
Physical Demands
- The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
