Job Summary
The Warehouse Clerk will assist the Food & Beverage department, providing the Charlotte Convention Center and/or Bojangles Entertainment Complex guests with a quality experience. The Warehouse Clerk will maintain compliance with applicable federal and state regulations regarding safety, health, and the sale of food and beverages.
- Essential Job Duties
- Follows standard inventory controls and procedures.
- Organizes and maintains the warehouse and inventory levels.
- Verifies the correct location of stock in the warehouse or other storage areas as it is received.
- Assists with preparing adequate amounts of food for events using the attendance and type of event as a guideline.
- Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels.
- Reports discrepancies between inventory and stock control records to management.
- Maintain professional attire, image and demeanor at all times.
- Complies with all CRVA and Convention Center policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as requested by Concessions Manager.
- Must be able to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Consistently deliver the best in customer service. Model and be accountable ensuring that customers are always put first by living the CRVA Service Philosophy to deliver memorable customer experiences
- Champion CRVA’s mission, vision and core values and comply with organizations policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibility
- There is no supervisory responsibility.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
- Organizational skills: need to be organized to keep the warehouse clean and safe, and to receive, record, and organize deliveries and inventory.
- Attention to detail: need to be detail-oriented to ensure deliveries and dispatches are accurate.
- Teamwork: clerks often work with others, need to be able to collaborate and understand what others need to keep things running smoothly.
- Safety awareness: need to be able to identify hazards, use equipment to mitigate them, and follow safe work procedures to prevent injuries and illnesses.
- Flexibility: need to be flexible to adapt to changing schedules and work environments, which can vary depending on the event schedule.
- Treat all customers and vendors with highest degree of respect and courtesy, delivers exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Education and Experience
- A High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and two to three years of related experience is required.
- Prior experience using forklift machinery (including a certification) is a plus.
- Knowledge of warehouse techniques preferred.
Physical Demands
- The employee may regularly lift and /or move up to 40 pounds.
- The employee is frequently required to stand and walk.
Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment may vary depending on the event in the venue.
Travel Required
- Some travel between CRVA venues may be required.
