Intake Coordinator

JOB OVERVIEW:

At the highest level, all employees of Kids SPOT must be enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and committed to performing their job in an ethical and proper manner. The Intake Coordinator is responsible for collecting patient information and following procedures to determine what services are needed. Provide excellent customer service, listen to customers' needs, provide helpful solutions to problems, and work with multiple departments to ensure patients are provided with care.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct initial screenings for assessment.
  • Collect all relevant patient information as outlined in the company procedures and processes.
  • Verify insurance information and check eligibility.
  • Facilitate scheduling of initial evaluations.
  • Run applicable reports as directed by manager.
  • Work closely with the Authorizations department when authorization is needed.
  • De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied customers and provide patient assistance and support.
  • Be an active participant in training and learning opportunities within the company.
  • Understanding Intake Department metrics and continuously working to optimize performance.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Additional responsibilities including clinic opening, clinic closing, and other in-clinic related duties including assisting patients and caregivers, etc. may be assigned if working at a Kids SPOT location.
