Our corporate office in Audubon, PA is currently seeking a Payroll/HR Specialist to join our team Our goal is for this role to continually expand and grow To achieve that goal, this position is based fully onsite, 100% of the time with no remote working opportunities. This role is also based on a 50-hour work week.

What You Will Do:

Payroll:

  • Assist Payroll Manager with processing weekly/bi-weekly payroll for over 900 employees for all divisions and affiliates
  • Ensure payroll is accurate, timely and that all company policies and procedures are adhered to and met
  • Review and approve new hire and existing employee updates/changes daily
  • Process and data enter garnishment information/notices
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes
  • Review and enter bi-weekly employee expense reports
  • Resolve issues related to employee wage discrepancies and/or direct deposit in a timely manner
  • Download and post weekly payroll reports for Accounting Department and Operations Management
  • Provide guidance to company Operational Management regarding payroll issues
  • Oversee payroll distribution process (paychecks and stubs) to the divisions
  • Assist in data and report generation for year-end financial audits' payroll related insurance company audits and other reports as necessary
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve payroll processes and reporting
  • Review and ensure that payroll processing invoices are accurate and submitted in a timely fashion to accounting
  • Stay up to date with changes in payroll regulations and compliance requirements
  • Special projects and other job duties as assigned.

Human Resources:

Assist Human Resources in following areas as needed:

  • In conjunction with the Benefits Specialist, Benefit Enrollment and cancellation
  • Assist employees with salary and/or benefit inquiries
  • Maintenance of employee files in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
  • In conjunction with the Benefits Specialist, tracking of COBRA, premium payments, and LOA
  • Benefits: invoice reviews and audits for accurate and timely payments and credits

Other HR functions:

  • Respond to employee questions about HR policies and procedures
  • May be required to assist in confidential personnel matters
  • Must be able to track data, generate accurate and timely reports and complete various government filings as needed
  • Other duties or projects as assigned by the HR Director

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or other related field, required.
  • ADP HRIS experience highly preferred.
  • Experience in processing complex payrolls highly preferred
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and practices affecting payroll and human resources required
  • A strong sense of integrity and confidentiality required
  • Willingness to get the job done in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Must be able to be onsite five (5) days a week, up to 50 hours per week
  • Excellent organization and verbal/written communication skills
  • Strong sense of accountability
  • Ability to recognize and meet deadlines
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong skills related to Microsoft Office software products
