Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Junior Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. The Junior Accountant will assist in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and performing a variety of accounting tasks to support the financial operations of the company
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
- Perform data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and assist in the resolution of discrepancies.
- Support accounts payable and receivable activities, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reports.
- Participate in audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Support the senior accounting staff with special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data and sensitive information.
- Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books
- Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., Procore) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate setting.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The JR Accountant is regularly required to: • Walk, climb stairs, sit, and stand. • Talk and hear at normal levels. • Reach with hands and arms. • Use hands and fingers to operate office equipment and other business machines. • Lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
