As a Parts Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately identifying, sourcing, ordering, and providing the right parts and accessories to our customers, technicians, and service advisors. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, organizing parts storage, and effectively communicating with team members and customers to meet their parts needs. The pay for this position is based on work experience. It has the potential to be a salaried position with an added incentive commission plan.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify parts and accessories by referencing catalogs, computer databases, and other sources
- Source and order parts in a timely manner to meet customer and service department requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service by promptly and professionally assisting customers with their parts needs
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper organization of parts storage
- Collaborate with service advisors and technicians to ensure accurate parts selection for vehicle repairs
- Process and manage parts warranties and returns
- Keep up-to-date with the latest product information and developments in the automotive parts industry
- Assist with regular inventory counts and ensure stock levels are maintained
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements:
- Prior experience in automotive parts and accessories, or a similar field, preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts, components, and systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to accurately identify parts and provide appropriate recommendations
- Proficient in using electronic parts catalogs, computer systems, and other reference materials
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software
- Valid driver's license with no speeding violations over 20MPH
