Job Title: Test Automation Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL (Local Candidates Only Must be within 1-hour driving distance)

Job Overview:
As a Test Automation Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications. You will work closely with development teams to identify testing needs and implement solutions that enhance our testing processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience in test automation tools and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and create effective test cases.
  • Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects and ensure software quality.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test data.
  • Work closely with the development team to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution of defects.
  • Continuously improve and optimize automation frameworks and testing processes.
  • Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains unaffected by new development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in test automation.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing, with a focus on test automation.
  • Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automated tests into the build pipeline.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Chicago, IL, and reside within an hour's driving distance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments
