About the Preventive Maintenance Technician position:
This entry level position is part of the Maintenance Department. We are seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician, who can work independently as well as with a team. Qualified candidates should have Training or maintenance experience.
Critical factors in consideration for this role include:
Access to reliable transportation and a valid PA driver’s license is a necessity.
Familiarity with common tools and proficiency in unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance and repair tasks. Including: plumbing, electrical, and light carpentry work.
Basic computer skills
Ability to trouble shooting.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Preventive maintenance within the apartment community.
Taking pictures with iPad.
Keeps work area clean and tools and equipment in good working order.
Performs duties according to Occupations Safety & Health Act (OSHA) standards and company safety policies at all times.
Seeks opportunities to increase skills and expand knowledge base.
Obtains and maintains personal tools required for Maintenance Technician position.
Wears the required uniform and maintains a professional appearance at all times.
Must be available to work on an on-call basis.
Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of the buildings and grounds.
Snow removal.
Prepares vacant rental units for occupancy, this can be learned on the job.
Responds to employee and resident requests in a courteous and timely manner.
