Retail Lead Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Supervising and supporting the Sales Associate team while they complete sales transactions.
  • General retail, customer service, cleaning, and organizational duties.
  • Opening and closing procedures for store, cash drawers, and point of sale system registers.
  • Resolve cash overages and shortages with Store Management oversight.
  • Preparing and replenishing point of sale system stations with supplies.
  • Performing and being accountable for all Point-Of-Sale system transactions including cash handling procedures.
  • Accurately weighing, labeling, and packaging each product sold in accordance with company policy and compliance standards.
  • Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the store during daily retail operations.
  • Training of new hires and communicating with the store management and administrative training teams regarding training and follow up.
  • Assisting the store management team with daily staff shift breaks and lunch schedules.
  • Assisting with sales floor and front desk coverage as needed or requested.
  • Assisting the Inventory Lead with product counts for inventory audits and inventory management purposes when needed or requested.
  • Assisting with customer service issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of all cannabis strains and products carried in-store as well as products available in the Colorado cannabis market and cannabis industry trend knowledge;
  • Maintaining compliance and upholding company standards by following company standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Maintaining a positive and productive work environment that motivates and supports the growth and development of the entire retail team.
  • Assisting the store team with other positions and job duties as needed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Valid Support badge from MED
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior cannabis industry experience a plus
  • Cash handling experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Point of Sale experience

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Ability to work 7 days per week including holidays, days, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to sit, squat, bend, and kneel repetitively throughout a workday
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability and willingness to work in the following conditions:
  • Exposure to pollen, allergens, and chemical pesticides in the grow facility or greenhouse
  • General office environment
  • Extended computer usage
  • Extended phone usage including teleconferences
  • Work environments that include exposure to, but not limited to, chemicals, fumes, dust, odors, extreme heat temperatures, heights, indoor AC, no AC, motion, noise, protective gear, vibrations, and water
