Description

The Bilingual Technology Solutions Engineer will use their strong knowledge of equipment design and equipment modifications to lead installing and modifying new equipment to implement new technology, which includes adopting new technology solutions to improve equipment design and ensure seamless integration of these systems for internal and external customers. This position will use their Japanese/English bi-lingual language skills to communicate with global teams for technology strategies and alignment.

The Bilingual Technology Solutions Engineer will:

  • Review of project plans and specifications, including QCD&S (Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Safety)
  • Assess current technological infrastructure and equipment design to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, tools, and equipment to enhance operational efficiency and performance.
  • Communicate and work with customers and partners to develop and implement solutions.
  • Review solutions and ideas provided by technical sales engineers, develop drawings, and finalize physical products.
  • Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and debugging activities to ensure the successful deployment and integration of new technology solutions.
  • For external customers, understand the requirements to implement new technology and help win the new business opportunities.
  • Acquire new technology that currently does not exist to provide a new value to customers.

Qualifications

Education

Preferred

Bachelors or better.

Experience

Required

5+ years' experience equipment engineering or related experience.

Must be proficient in both spoken and written Japanese and English

Proven experience of working with internal and external customer to implement new technologies.

Strong technical and equipment knowledge

Excellent project management skills, including multi-tasking, prioritizing, managing time effectively.

Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot fundamental technical issues and provide step-by-step technical help.

Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication, along with excellent presentation skills.

Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with teammates, customers, and partners.

Ability to communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences in person, via phone, or email.

Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.

Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
