Job DescriptionJob DescriptionElectromechanical EngineerExpert Technical Solutions is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer for one of our industry leading clients based out of Atlanta, GA (Duluth). This person will be responsible for leading new solutions and providing dramatically improved technology leadership and a business solutions focus to the organization. This role will play a key part in designing, developing, and maintaining electromechanical systems that integrate electrical and mechanical components and will be responsible for the technical leadership and implementation of new business applications which leverage the technology resources of the company and third-party suppliers and ensure the delivery of competitive business solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical engineering principles to create efficient and reliable systems. This role will report to the Engineering Operations Lead. This is a Permanent, HYBRID (3 days onsite) opportunity offering competitive pay and outstanding growth potential.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and design electro-mechanical systems, ensuring seamless integration of electrical and mechanical components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create comprehensive system architectures that meet project requirements.
  • Review technical designs and provide guidance on technical and architectural design decisions.
  • Work with product owners/managers to understand the business strategy and vision to create innovative solutions architecture to solve the business problems.
  • Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct thorough testing of electro-mechanical systems, analyzing and interpreting data to make informed design decisions.
  • Take ownership of projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to coordinate activities and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in existing electro-mechanical systems, implementing solutions to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Establish maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure long-term functionality of systems.
  • Create detailed technical documentation, including schematics, drawings, and manuals.
  • Maintain accurate records of design iterations, testing procedures, and project milestones.
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, software developers, product development and 3rd party developers to develop proof of concepts/technology.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
DESIRED SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Master’s Degree preferred
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with design and development.
  • Electrical Engineering:
    • Circuit design and analysis.
    • Knowledge of control systems and automation.
    • Proficiency in using electrical design software and CAD tools.
  • Mechanical Engineering:
    • Solid understanding of mechanical principles and systems.
    • Proficient in CAD for mechanical design.
    • Experience in materials selection and structural analysis.
  • Integration Skills:
    • Ability to seamlessly integrate electrical and mechanical components into cohesive systems.
    • Knowledge of interdisciplinary engineering principles.
  • Prototyping and Testing:
    • Hands-on experience in building and testing prototypes.
    • Familiarity with testing equipment and data analysis.
    • Lead rapid prototyping initiatives collaborating with product and business teams.
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile and SCRUM based projects.
  • Strong leadership skills and comfortable presenting complex ideas to small and large groups concisely.
  • Ability to influence and develop relationships with key partners.
  • Deep understanding of hardware development methodologies, with hands on experience leading projects utilizing one or more Agile approaches.
  • Broad technology experience including familiarity API, micro services, cloud data architecture, web & mobile development and event driven architectures.
  • Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery).
