Job Title: Summer School Instructor - Algebra II (July 2024 - August 2024)

Location: Northside Charter High School

Description:Northside Charter High School is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic instructor to teach Algebra II during our summer school program from July 2024 to August 2024. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and rigorous instruction in Algebra II to high school students, helping them develop essential mathematical skills and concepts. This position offers an exciting opportunity for educators to make a difference in students' academic success over the summer break.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement effective lesson plans that address the Algebra II curriculum and state standards.
  • Facilitate student understanding of complex mathematical concepts through clear explanations and demonstrations.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of learners.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive classroom environment where students feel empowered to ask questions and take risks.
  • Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to align instruction and share best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other pertinent information.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and other stakeholders regarding student progress and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification in Mathematics (or eligibility for certification).
  • Prior experience teaching Algebra II at the high school level preferred.
  • Proficiency in Algebra II curriculum and instructional strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
