Job Title: Summer School Instructor - Algebra (July 2024 - August 2024)

Location: Northside Charter High School

Description:Northside Charter High School is seeking a dynamic and experienced instructor to teach Algebra during our upcoming summer school program from July 2024 to August 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive instruction in Algebra to high school students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics education, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping students succeed. This is an excellent opportunity for educators looking to make a positive impact during the summer months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the Algebra curriculum and state standards.
  • Provide clear explanations of mathematical concepts and ensure student understanding through various instructional strategies.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, tests, and other forms of evaluation.
  • Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding academic performance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure continuity of instruction.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and other relevant data.
  • Communicate effectively with school administration, parents, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification in Mathematics (or eligibility for certification).
  • Previous experience teaching Algebra at the high school level preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Algebra curriculum and instructional best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement.
