I am a recruiter working with a hospital in Houston, Texas. I am looking for a skilled Mammography technologist who can provide high-quality, patient-focused imaging services.

This is a great opportunity to obtain personal and professional growth, enhanced expertise, and credibility in the field of mammography.

The goal of this position – your core purpose and duty - is to provide high-quality breast imaging services that aid in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases, particularly breast cancer, while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compassionate care throughout the process in a hospital setting.

Your role daily will look a little like this…

  • You will perform mammography radiographic exams on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures

  • You will prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, administer contrast when necessary, select appropriate imaging techniques, and ensure the technical quality of the images.

  • You will perform quality assurance on mammography equipment.

  • You will identify and report any accidents, complaints, or equipment malfunction to department management.

  • You will take emergency calls within the department.

  • You will adhere to all policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity, and quality of service.

  • You will support department-based goals and serve as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Mammography Technology

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

  • Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required

  • Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R)

  • Registered Mammography Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-M)

  • Ability to lift and maneuver patients

It also would be great if you have prior mammography tech experience or experience working in an Outpatient Imaging Center, but if not, I encourage you to apply anyway
