Job Title: SAS Developer, Team Lead


Job Profile

The SAS Developer, Team Lead reports directly to the Director, Data Services and is responsible for taking part in the managing, designing, and building systems required to deliver RxAnte's analytic products in a scalable manner. Strong analytic, communication, and SAS programming skills and experience are required. In addition to taking part in the design and development of the systems, the Team lead will contribute to working with clients as needed to acquire data, design solutions, and resolve data issues. The Team Lead will be responsible for helping to assess/gather project requirements, assess work effort and work scheduling as well as project prioritization. Additionally, this key Data Services role will interact with technical and non-technical internal and external customers. We are looking for someone who loves to lead projects for themselves and others, navigate several roles in any given day, enjoys working on their individual development, and collaborates with other developers to achieve success. This is a remote work position.


Specific responsibilities include:

  • Work with Data Services leadership to develop and maintain processes and programs focused on program designs
  • Establish and maintain project-deliverable processes with an eye toward scalability and automation
  • Rework and enhance existing base code
  • Program client-deliverable projects using SAS and other software as required
  • Collaborate with external client's IT team to acquire client data, resolve client data issues, and understand their data environments
  • Gather business requirements and document using Atlassian tools
  • A strong desire to be able to lead projects and contribute to ongoing development
  • Ability to successful manage individual projects through the entire lifecycle as well as other team members’ projects
  • Other activities as needed



Requirements:
  • 2+ years of relevant/related experience in similar role
  • Strong SAS coding experience and skill, including system design
  • Ability to manage projects within a workflow with minimal oversight and oversee work for 1-3 developers
  • Experience working with administrative health care data (e.g., commercial medical, hospital, and pharmacy claims, and Medicare or Medicaid data), healthcare informatics, or health care claims processing
  • Experience designing, constructing, and using large databases for product delivery
  • Strong internal and external communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to document and work through requirements gathering
  • Strong communication skills with the ability and desire to engage with non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in an environment which utilizes project management tools such as Atlassian
  • Willingness to travel as needed
