Luminator is seeking to fill our full-time Hardware Product Manager role to join our growing and dynamic Product Management team where you will be an integral part of the team by providing valuable input as we work toward assessing and implementing goals and mission of the department and Luminator.

The successful Hardware Product Manager candidate will be part of a team working to expand a strong and proven concept that has solid growth potential, with the opportunity to create substantial shareholder value.   • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for hardware products. Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and industry developments to identify new opportunities and define product priorities.
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and gather customer insights to understand user needs, pain points, and preferences. Translate findings into well-defined product requirements and specifications.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, design, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination throughout the product development lifecycle. Foster a cohesive, agile environment that promotes efficient and effective teamwork.
  • Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end product development process, including ideation, prototyping, testing, and release. Work closely with the engineering team to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and with high-quality standards.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular assessments of competitors' products and industry trends to identify potential threats and opportunities. Use this analysis to refine the product strategy and differentiate our offerings.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop comprehensive go-to-market plans that encompass product positioning, pricing, marketing, and sales strategies. Collaborate with the marketing and sales teams to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
  • Performance Tracking and Optimization: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success. Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and drive iterative enhancements.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee products from launch through their entire lifecycle. Make data-driven decisions regarding feature updates, upgrades, and end-of-life strategies.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Keep key stakeholders, including senior management, informed about product progress, challenges, and successes through regular updates and presentations.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience as a Product Manager in hardware product development or related field preferred. Prior experience in managing mobile or transportation industry products a plus.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong technical background and understanding of hardware engineering principles.
  • Practical knowledge of communication methods, protocols, and options (wired, wireless, TCP/IP)
  • Demonstrated success in developing and launching innovative products from concept to market.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
  • Familiarity with user experience design principles and market research techniques.
  • A strategic mindset with a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for hardware products, preferred.
  • Familiarity with product analytics and data visualization tools, preferred.
