Directions for Living, a large Non Profit Social Service Community Mental Health Organization seeks caring, compassionate, mission driven Psych APRN's and APRN's (who are in the process of obtaining their Psych Certifications) with excellent clinical, psychiatric, medical, and administrative skills.

This is a responsible position requiring clinical, psychiatric, medical, and administrative duties. The Psychiatric APRN will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to youth clients with behavioral health issues. The Psychiatric APRN will work collaboratively with the Medical Director other Providers and Clinicians to provide quality client assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, order laboratory tests, interpret test results, provide patient education and documentation via the electronic health records system in accordance with statutes, regulations and protocols regulating the profession. This position will be supervised by a Medical Director (Psychiatrist) with whom there is a Collaborative Practice Agreement established upon hire. The APRN will also work in collaboration with a Medical Assistant to coordinate client care.


Full time Psychiatric APRN's are required to consistently meet the minimum client facing client care hours/billable hours per month.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/ PMHNP and certification required.
  2. Florida Nursing License
  3. M.S. in Nursing
  4. Must have a valid/current DEA Number
  5. A minium of 5 years experience working with children/youth.
  6. Must be computer literate and be proficient in Outlook, Excel spreadsheets, and Microsoft Word. Must be able to work proficiently in a Windows environment and be able to learn other software applications quickly.
  7. Must be able to use Telehealth platform for service delivery, and for team and individual supervision as needed.
  8. Must be competent in the use of electronic health records.
