Job Description:

As a Maintenance Technician at The Nicewonder Inn, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our property. With a minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, you will demonstrate strong technical skills and a proactive approach to addressing maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks and repairs for all buildings and facilities on the property, including guest rooms, common areas, and exterior structures.

- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement, taking appropriate action to address issues promptly.

- Assist with troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, following safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines.

- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, filter replacement, and system testing, to prolong the lifespan of equipment and minimize downtime.

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact on guest experience.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and equipment storage areas, ensuring safe and efficient workspaces.

- Collaborate with other maintenance team members and department heads to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to guest services.

- Uphold the Nicewonder Inn's standards of hospitality and service excellence, ensuring that the physical environment reflects our commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or certification in maintenance or a related field preferred.

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting.

- Strong technical skills and knowledge of maintenance practices, including basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.

- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff and guests.

- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
