Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor will assist the Maintenance Manager in the management, supervision, and execution of all manufacturing and building operations at Monogram Foods. This role is responsible for ensuring the daily/weekly maintenance plan is executed to acceptable standards, coordinating with all departments on maintenance issues, and managing, mentoring, and continually developing department mechanics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Guide Maintenance Team: Provide guidance and oversight to maintenance department personnel to ensure they understand their role and function effectively as a support unit of production.
- Coordinate Maintenance Efforts: Collaborate with all departments to ensure effective communication and coordination on maintenance issues.
- Develop and Manage Maintenance Team: Manage, mentor, and continually develop department mechanics to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Ensure Maintenance Plan Execution: Ensure the daily/weekly maintenance plan is executed to acceptable standards, minimizing production downtime and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Optimize Equipment Performance: Identify opportunities to optimize or upgrade existing equipment, implementing system installations to minimize production downtime and improve safety while being cost-efficient.
- Manage Building Systems: Manage building systems maintenance and repairs to provide superior employee comfort, safety, and productivity.
- Inspect and Evaluate Performance: Review and evaluate performance of existing assets to identify systemic issues, inspect construction and installation processes, and coordinate projects with maintenance staff.
- Enforce Safety Procedures: Follow and enforce safety procedures, ensuring all required trainings are completed on-time and supervising and training maintenance staff on safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Education and Experience: High school diploma and relevant years of experience required; Associate's and/or bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
- Industrial Maintenance Experience: Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance and electrical experience, PLC and food manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Leadership Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a maintenance team within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and troubleshooting experience.
- Communication and Teamwork: Ability to bring a maintenance team together, develop all levels of maintenance technicians, and work in a team environment within a diverse workforce.
- Additional Requirements: Strong sense of job ownership/accountability, effective verbal and written communication skills, flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required, and ability to comply with all safety expectations.
