Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and integrate resources allocated to the maintenance program, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Plan and direct maintenance operations, including emergency response and disaster recovery efforts.
- Develop and manage workforce development, maintenance schedules, and long-range strategic plans.
- Supervise and manage diverse staff, analyzing needs and implementing recommendations to support organizational values and goals.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with federal and state highway and transportation rules, regulations, and policies.
- Ability to plan and coordinate resources, manage multiple projects and schedules.
- Considerable knowledge of federal and state highway and transportation rules, regulations, and policies.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with the general public, property owners, contractors, and VDOT staff.
- Considerable knowledge of inventory management and roadway constructions and maintenance operations.
We offer a competitive salary range of $68,768 - $111,748, as well as excellent health and life insurance, benefits, pre-tax spending accounts, state-funded Short- and Long-Term Disability, paid holidays, vacation, tuition assistance, free wellness programs, and a state retirement plan with options for tax-deferred retirement savings including employer matching.
