Guardian Rehab Expectations for Physical Therapist Assistants

As a Physical Therapist Assistant with Guardian Rehab, under the direction and supervision of physical therapists you will provide physical therapy assessment, services, direction, and care to patients in your region. You will evaluate the patient's home environment and functional status and participate in the development of the total plan of care.

  • Develop a treatment program and establish goals for patients improved function
  • Teach patients new skills or re-train patients in once familiar daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injury, under organization policy
  • Maintain and submit appropriate clinical records, notes, and reports to the physician regarding any changes in the patient's condition
  • Licensed to practice as PTA
  • Graduate of an accredited PTA therapy program - New grads welcome
  • Current state licensure
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Tech-savvy with the ability to learn quickly
