Physical Therapy Assistant

SportsCare Physical Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapy Aide to support our clinical team and ensure that our patients receive the highest quality of care. As a Physical Therapy Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in the delivery of treatment and promoting a positive and supportive clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with Patient Care: Provide direct support to patients during their therapy sessions, following the guidance of the physical therapist or physical therapist assistant. This may involve assisting with exercises, equipment setup, and ensuring patient safety.
- Prepare Treatment Areas: Set up treatment areas and equipment, ensuring they are clean, organized, and ready for patient use.
- Patient Education: Assist in patient education by explaining exercises, proper form, and treatment goals as directed by the clinical team.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep treatment areas, exercise equipment, and therapy rooms clean and sanitized to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Laundry and Supplies: Assist with laundry duties, such as washing and folding linens, towels, and other materials. Monitor and restock supplies as needed.
- Patient Records: Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, including tracking and documenting patient progress and adherence to exercise programs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that therapy equipment is properly maintained and report any equipment issues to the appropriate staff.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, physical therapists, and other team members to facilitate a smooth patient experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is beneficial.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as required.
