Responsibilities:

  • Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Includes consolidation of international subsidiary.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform detailed account reconciliations.
  • Conduct variance analyses to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor budget performance, investigate variances, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Work closely with Revenue Cycle Management team to ensure appropriate revenue recognition.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
  • Prepare periodic tax filings, including business property, sales, and use and franchise.
  • Assist with external audit and tax preparation requests.
  • Other duties as assigned, determined by business need.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the clinical laboratory industry.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial principles, and accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Accumatica, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Experience with billing and collection software (e.g., Xifin, Telcor, Quadax) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and generate actionable insights.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality is critical.
  • Experience with ERP system implementations preferred.
