Job Description: As a Cloud Developer you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions that meet our business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and integration of cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable cloud architectures using platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Develop and deploy cloud-based applications and services.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to integrate cloud solutions into existing systems.
  • Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and best practices are followed in cloud development.
  • Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and trends to recommend improvements and new solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ yrs of proven experience in cloud development and deployment using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud services, APIs, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with different development methodologies including Agile/Scrum, Incremental and modified Waterfall processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate).
  • Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
  • Knowledge of databases and data storage solutions in the cloud.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $145,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
