Training Manager

The Training Manager is responsible for the training, development, and retention of new hires entering the Company and facility-wide annual training. The Training Manager will be the main point of contact for the Company learning management system and will work with department leaders to maintain annual learning plans and incidental retraining as needed. Training, as a Company function, has a direct impact on employee retention; therefore, the Training Manager must be innovative and creative in the role for process improvement and be a representative of the “Creekstone Proud” culture.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Oversee and manage the company training system with efficiency and maximization in mind.
- Manage new hire orientation, training supervisor, production and classroom trainers, including all on-boarding programs.
- Manage annual plant training, working with department managers to find a solution to training needs without adverse impact to operations.
- Manage all management annual learning plans.
- Oversee and manage Company intern program and trainee program.
- Set retention, training, and turnover goals that push the team for continuous improvement.
- Work daily with operations leaders to support operational needs.
- Audit and ensure compliance in requirement training: harassment, EEO, safety, etc.
- Manage current supervisor development programs and develop any required hourly and management plans necessary for the company.
- Work directly with Environmental, Health and Safety Department on training needs throughout the facility.
- Develop and promote positive working relationships with all Team Members, Supervisors & Management.
- Must understand and have a “Creekstone Proud” mindset to positively enhance the company culture.
- All other duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of management experience with direct reports preferred.
- Open to continuing education, as is deemed necessary by senior leadership.
- Required manufacturing experience, prefer protein or food industry experience.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to present ideas, concepts, issues, concerns, and questions in a well thought out, positive, and professional manner.
- Ability to foster an atmosphere of teamwork and respect.
- Functional with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Able to work productively and independently.
- Clear communication skills – verbally and in written form.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Ability to coach and develop others into becoming better employees.
- Leadership skills, such as conflict resolution, encouraging others and inspiring excellent work.
- Ability to take direction humbly and collaborate to define and pursue team goals.
- A positive outlook and attitude in taking initiative and problem solving, unprompted.
