Job Summary:

The Youth Direct Support Professional (YDSP) is responsible for the direct care and supervision of youth in varying age groups of up to 18 years old. In this position, you would be providing a safe environment while working on implementation of behavioral and permanency goals. Care and supervision may be provided in a variety of settings, including staffed residential homes, foster homes, family homes, and the community.

Wage: $20
Program: 039
Location: Skagit, Whatcom, Snohomish, and Island
Shifts Available: Varies. Must be available after school hours, evenings, and weekends. Must also be available for an on-call shift a minimum of one week per month

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Have a clear criminal history and pass a background check
  • Be at least 21 or older
  • At least one year working with children outside your own home and family or two years of social services education may be substituted for experience
  • Be able to show proof of education

Licensing and Certifications:

  • Currently have or within 30 days of being hired CPR/First Aid license (Paid by SA)
  • Current driver license, car, and car insurance.
  • TB Test: Within 7 days of first day of employment, or prior to working on site (whichever comes first) (Paid by SA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
