Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze credit data and financial statements to evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients.
- Assist in the development and implementation of credit risk models and strategies.
- Monitor and report on credit risk metrics and portfolio performance.
- Prepare detailed credit reports and documentation for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and other departments to assess and manage credit risk.
- Assist in maintaining and updating credit risk policies and procedures.
- Identify and escalate potential credit risks and recommend appropriate actions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market conditions that may impact credit risk.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in credit risk analysis, finance, or a related area (internships or relevant coursework may be considered).
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a solid understanding of financial statements and credit risk assessment techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with credit risk management software or tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of credit risk modeling and statistical analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools or financial analysis software.
- Certification or coursework related to credit risk management (e.g., FRM, CFA).
