POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Reunification and Support Services will focus on providing high quality behavioral health services and intensive case management using the Homebuilders EBP ,high fidelity wraparound evidence based practice, and other EBP's to children and their families who have been identified by child welfare organizations or other Community Agencies as at-risk of entering the child welfare system due to verified safety concerns and to children and their families who have already entered the child welfare system and have a court ordered goal of reunification. This individual will oversee integrated behavioral health and trauma informed child welfare services being delivered to children and their families using evidence-based practices such as the HOMEBUILDERS EBP, nurturing parenting, motivational interviewing, seeking safety, and high-fidelity wraparound. The Director of -Homebuilders and Reunification Support Services will be responsible for the following programs: HOMEBUILDERS FITT, - and Baby CAT. The FITT program is an intensive in-home program for adults involved with the child welfare system who are court ordered to complete a case plan to address co-occurring mental health and substance use with the goal of reunifying with their children or keeping their children safe in their home. The - The Baby CAT program is an intensive in-home program serving children and their parent/caregivers who have been identified by the PCSS or another community agency as at risk of abuse or neglect and in need of prevention and diversion services. HOMEBUILDERS is an evidence-based program designed to strengthen families to prevent unnecessary out-of-home placement or return children from foster care, group care, psychiatric hospitals, or correctional institutions. Families served by this intensive, in-home, family therapy model have children in imminent danger of placement, or have children in placement who cannot be reunified without intensive services. The presenting problems may include child abuse, neglect, family conflict, juvenile delinquency, and child or parental developmental disabilities and/or mental health problems.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Commitment to the HOMEBUILDERS® model
  2. Must have a minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work or a related area of study from an accredited university or college.
  3. At least 2 years supervisory / management experience and at least 4 years providing direct services to families, preferably intensive in-home services.
  4. Licensed mental health and Certified Addiction Professional preferred. CWCMS certification preferred.
  5. TCM supervisor, and Wraparound coach certifications are required to be maintained or achieved within 1 year of hire.
  6. Must be Medicaid eligible as a supervisor for billing.
  7. Must communicate in a clear, concise written format, effectively and apply knowledge. Must possess reading and writing skills that enable reading and writing progress notes, treatment plans, and pertinent information concerning the client.

Directions for Living is an essential services provider. All Directions for Living employees must be willing and able to provide vital support and essential services to the people that we serve in the event of an emergency, pandemic or other disaster situation. This is a clinic based in-office position
