  • Budget Management: Manage the budget for facility and equipment operations and maintenance, including cost control, forecasting, and allocation of resources for repairs, upgrades, and acquisitions.
  • Emergency Response Planning: Develop and oversee emergency response plans for facilities and GSE, ensuring readiness and resilience against Alaska's severe weather conditions and other emergencies.
  • Vendor and Contract Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness of services and equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Foster a culture of safety and compliance, conducting regular inspections and audits of facilities and equipment, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.

  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of professionals.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop strategic plans, manage budgets, and oversee large-scale projects.
  • Experience in emergency response planning and execution.

Working Conditions

  • This position is based in Alaska and requires travel to various rural and remote locations.
