Join our team at a vibrant restaurant located in Kahala Market. We are seeking Assistant Restaurant Managers who are energetic, creative professionals with significant management experience in the restaurant industry. Candidates should possess extensive knowledge of food & beverage operations, strong financial management skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and culinary experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Restaurant Manager and uphold all restaurant and company policies.
  • Perform all duties of the Restaurant Manager in their absence.
  • Ensure high standards of guest experience for dine-in and takeout services.
  • Handle guest complaints and ensure service standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to company dress code and policies.

General Expectations:

Conducting Day-to-Day Operations:

  • Ensure proper supplies, equipment, and uniform compliance for all employees.
  • Communicate effectively with Chef and Restaurant Manager on food quality and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with restaurant policies, standards, and procedures.

Providing Exceptional Customer Service:

  • Execute proactive table visits to interact with guests and gather feedback.
  • Supervise staffing levels to meet service, operational, and financial objectives.
  • Motivate employees to deliver excellent customer service and handle guest problems effectively.
  • Set a positive example for guest relations and service performance.

Conducting Human Resource Activities:

  • Supervise ongoing training initiatives and use available on-the-job training tools.
  • Communicate performance expectations and coach employees on performance.
  • Assist in the review of guest satisfaction results and comment cards with employees.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, event management, or related field OR 2-year degree in relevant major.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Prior managerial experience in a high-volume food service establishment.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software (e.g., OpenTable, NCR Silver Pro).
  • Strong financial management and administrative skills.
  • Passion for food and beverage with a strong sense of presentation.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, adapt to change, and work under time constraints.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Effective leadership skills and ability to build team morale and enforce standards.
  • Ability to analyze budgets and operational costs.

Physical/Travel/Time Demands:

  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing.
  • Flexible scheduling, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate business needs.
  • Travel to other restaurant and bar sites as needed.

Other Requirements:

  • Must have TB Clearance.
