Duties include processing vendor invoices into the accounting system, obtaining approval for vendor payments, supporting the payment of invoices, billing, receiving payments for goods and services, and accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, ensuring proper authorization and coding. Prepare and perform vendor payments via check runs or electronic transfers.
  • Assist in invoicing customers, recording receipts, and reconciling customer accounts, cash application of payments.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and communicate effectively with customers regarding payment status.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with various financial and cost reporting projects as assigned.
  • Assist with Month/year-end closing.
  • Assists in evaluating, recommending, maintaining and monitor appropriate internal controls.
  • Interacts with internal and external stakeholders in responding to inquires or report requests.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, or related major preferred
  • 5+ years general accounting experience in lieu of bachelor's degree.
  • QuickBooks experience, preferred
  • Strong analytical and research skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task are also required.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret and report financial data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written and provide clear and detail information to others.
  • Ability to work effectively and represent the company's interest with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Shows initiative and commitment.
