Job DescriptionJob Description

Tool & Die (Entry Level Encouraged): The Tool & Die Maker produces tooling, dies, and fixtures for the press, welding, deburring, assembly, and CNC departments according to AS9100 quality processes. This person will support the manufacturing floor by creating, updating, and repairing tooling used in day-to-day manufacturing. This work is essential in delivering parts of superior quality to our customers.

Qualified candidates will possess the following minimum requirements:

  • Due to ITAR requirements, we can only consider American Citizens for this position.
  • 1-5 years’ experience in carpentry, mechanics, die setup, etc.
  • Experience operating Bridgeport or lathes is a plus
  • Must be able to pass a 5-panel drug screen that includes marijuana
  • Attention to detail is a must, along with the ability to ignore distractions while working

Responsibilities:

  • Follow department work order schedule based on priorities.
  • Build and machine dies and tooling per engineering drawings at 100% accuracy.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical guides, and protectors to measure and validate the quality of work.
  • Learn Lean Manufacturing techniques to help the department eliminate waste and downtime.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to determine ‘better ways’ to serve our customers.
  • Collaborate with quality and engineering teams for process improvements, while maintaining accurate records.
