About the Role:

Aquila is seeking a Software Developer to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. Software Developer will develop and demonstrate new algorithms, architectures, and hardware implementations for processing signals for a broad range of system applications, including advanced wireless communications and signals.

There are a few requirements for the position:

  • Must be a U.S Citizen (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
  • Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.)
  • Must be within commutable distance of Lexington, Massachusetts.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the software team in designing and implementing a software de?ned radio testbed
  • Implement software components within an infrastructure of a complex distributed system.
  • Utilize System Modeling/Uni?ed Modeling Language (SYML/UML) design techniques as part of the overall development process.
  • Contribute in different areas of development including networking, hardware abstraction, UI, data transfer and archiving.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)
  • 5 years C/C++ Programming
  • 5 years C++11 or later, Stand Template Library,Boost library
  • 5 years Development experience on a Linux platform
  • 5 years Object Oriented Software Design and Development
  • 5 years Software Design/Development
  • 5 years Experience with Portable Operating System Interface (POSIX)
  • 5 years Experience with software modeling and the United Modeling Language (UML)
  • 5 years Systems Modeling

Working Knowledge of the Following:

  • Experienced with the Linux development environment
  • Experience developing for resource constrained systems and hardware abstraction layers
  • Experience with object-oriented development and Portable Operating System Interface (POSIX)
  • Experience with the software lifecycle processes and their associated tools.
  • Experience with software modeling and the United Modeling Language (UML)
  • Languages: C++ 11, C
