Position Overview:

A Line Chef is sought to join our vibrant culinary team in Kuhio, Honolulu. This role focuses on executing standardized recipes with precision and consistency to meet daily kitchen demands. The Line Chef will work with pre-prepared ingredients to create dishes from our diverse menu. While the primary responsibility is managing incoming orders, the role also includes prep tasks as needed. Proficiency with knives and cooking techniques is essential.

Core Duties:

  • Prepare menu items efficiently and hygienically, ensuring high standards.
  • Consistently execute recipes according to established guidelines.
  • Maintain quality standards for all food products.
  • Adhere to and enforce operational procedures and safety protocols.
  • Follow all sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and its equipment.
  • Restock necessary items throughout shifts to ensure smooth operation.
  • Support food prep duties as required.
  • Deliver exceptional service to guests.
  • Utilize various cooking methods such as grilling, frying, and sautéing to prepare dishes.
  • Ensure all food items meet specifications, are properly dated, packed, sealed, and labeled.
  • Maintain daily prep sheets.
  • Comply with all safety and hygiene policies.
  • Help keep sales and storage areas clean and orderly at the end of each shift.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and operational systems.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance, adhere to dress code standards, and support organizational culture and values.
  • Recent TB Clearance required.
