Job Summary: The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) activities within the organization. This role involves partnering with various departments to provide financial insights, drive business performance, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Strategic Support: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic initiatives, new product launches, and business development opportunities.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and analyze cost structures, identify areas for cost reduction, and support initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various departments, including merchandising, marketing, operations, and supply chain, to provide financial guidance and support decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide insights to support business initiatives and executive decision-making.


Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, advanced Excel skills, and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan).
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Initiative: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and driving change.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
