Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze accounting allocation and spending data to determine financial resources required for budget development.
  • Track expenses, inventories, and budget balances, measuring actual performance against budget.
  • Prepare forecasting reports and trend analysis, developing recommendations for budget allocations that conform with budgetary policies and limits.
  • Utilize financial modeling and data analytics tools, including knowledge in KPI dashboards.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis of hospital operations, including revenue and expense trends, budget vs. actual variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the hospital's annual budget, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support ongoing forecasting efforts to provide timely updates on financial performance.
  • Manage financial data collection, validation, and consolidation from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Create and maintain databases and data visualization tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Revenue Cycle, Operations, and IT, to gather data and insights that contribute to financial analyses and reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).
  • Ability to work independently and get things done.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
