Responsibilities

  • Evaluate sample work outputs such as attending demos, code reviews, test cases and scripts, test reviews, acceptance criteria, test strategies and provide effective feedback. 
  • Schedule and conduct coaching sessions with Software Developers at every stage of their career, communicate action plans for improvement, and follow up.  
  • Helping to develop first-year Software Developers, advocating for them to set them up for success, easing their transition into a team environment, and providing guidance and support to accelerate their growth.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with team members across the enterprise, including Architects, development teams, our #1-ranked Training team, leaders at all levels, and more. 
  • Serve as an independent third party that can mentor, support rapid skill development, and identify educational and technical opportunities.
  • Stay abreast of current technology trends, and provide opportunities to help grow team members.
  • Observe development teams and agile rituals and provide continuous improvement feedback. 
  • Advise on new training opportunities and gaps for the Training team to prioritize for new or enhanced training material. 
  • Proactively identify trends using data and feedback to address skill and capability gaps.

Qualifications

Must Have Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience working as a Software Developer
  • Knowledge of .Net C# coding practices, SQL, and unit testing frameworks (NUnit, XUnit, etc)
  • Knowledge of MVC Patterns 
  • Knowledge of Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 or newer
  • Experience working in an Agile environment 
  • Experience working in TFS/Jira 
  • Experience working with Git 
  • A passion for mentoring and guiding Software Developers, and being invested in their growth.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to simultaneously drive multiple projects, in different stages, forward.
  • Exceptional people skills, with strong initiative to connect with leaders and team members and build relationships quickly.
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution.
  • Ability to both work independently and collaboratively, with a positive attitude, 'yes' mentality, and receptive to feedback.
