What you will do:

The Administrator In Training (A.I.T.) is an internship allowing for individuals to learn, practice and ultimately become a licensed nursing home Administrator. A.I.T.s learn by working through all aspects of facility departments, reporting and care areas while being guided and evaluated by their preceptor and the community leadership.

The Administrator in Training will learn to perform the following activities:

  • Assists in analyzing the various operations within a nursing facility
  • Acts as a liaison between the nursing facility, residents, families and outside community Compiles and develops reporting on budget projections, revenue and expenses
  • Ensures all employees, residents and families are treated with the utmost respect Actively involved in community groups and developing/maintaining relationships with local hospital leadership and physicians
  • Monitors industry regulations, laws, compliance updates and makes changes as appropriate
  • Uses time effectively to study for both Federal and State regulations and comes to a sound understanding of industry best practices
  • Understands staffing level requirements and adheres to industry and company standards Assists in monitoring and directing execution of policy and procedural changes
  • Actively involved in resolving HR issues and Risk Management situations within the facility Assists in capital improvements
  • Participates in Advisory committees
  • Assists in all safety programs
  • Develops and maintains a stellar reputation within the industry and community
  • Develops relationships with the support team (HR/Therapy/Clinical/Finance) to assist with meeting/exceeding goals
  • Supports Clinical efforts by understanding QA measures and holding people accountable Keeps abreast of collections and A/R on a daily basis
  • Develops and executes creative ideas to increase employee engagement and minimize turnover.
  • Learn to meet and manage budgets, expenses, revenue and census management for the successful operations of the center.
  • Understand how to support / complete the clinical practices with in the center including investigations, clinical meetings and behavior management.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and engaging culture.
  • Focus and make decisions based off the core values of Caldera Care.
  • Participate in various learning opportunities such as continuing education, leadership books and reporting.
  • Gradual take over and leadership duties over various departments.
  • Completed a 30 day takeover of the center at the end of the assigned clock hours.
  • May be required to complete an assistant administrator role upon completion of the program for more real world practice.

Required

Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited college or university (in Healthcare Administration or Business preferred).

Must be willing to move to a facility in our area (WA/Idaho)

Compensation for roles at Caldera Care varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by state and local law, Caldera Care provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Caldera Care expects to pay for roles they may be hired in Washington, as stated below:
