Justin Thompson Restaurants & Catering is looking for someone to fill a sales position to sell our catering and private dining services. JTR Group consists of multiple restaurants with a variety of styles, price points, and venues. JTR Group also boasts one of Tulsas premier catering teams serving everything from small drop offs to large scale, high-end weddings and corporate events. Justin Thompson Catering and Prhyme: Downtown Steakhouse are particularly positioned to benefit from a dedicated sales team member to boost sales in both the private dining and catering services.

Prhyme has three luxurious private dining rooms in the restaurant located at Main & Archer. It is an ideal location for any type of private party from 8 - 60 people, including sales dinners, wedding rehearsal dinners, birthdays, celebrations, or corporate events.

Justin Thompson Catering is a preferred caterer at nearly every event location in Tulsa ranging from the Philbrook Museum to Cains Ballroom. The scale and service of what our catering team can execute is unmatched with our dedicated catering kitchen, fleet of catering vans and equipment, and large team ready to serve.

JTR Group also consists of Islas Southern Kitchen, directly across from Drillers Stadium, with an upstairs and private room available for booking. Juniper at 3rd and Elgin can host restaurant buyouts and private lunches. And we have a location on Brookside that can accommodate the same. Across the company, there are multiple opportunities for hosting events and catering that can leverage your sales expertise.

This sales role is key to utilizing our diverse venues to drive sales growth and strengthen our presence in the Tulsa market. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the local hospitality landscape. Job Role:

  • Book Catering and Private Dining events across all the brands at JTR Group.
  • Develop relationships and outside sales leads for the JTR Group by networking, prospecting, and marketing our services and capabilities throughout the Tulsa area.
  • Nurture the relationships already within the JTR Group by utilizing our guest database to build repeat business.
  • Secure a contract and deposit for each Catering and Private Dining event booked.
  • Coordinate with the Catering team on event details to secure the contract.
  • Ensure event details are clearly communicated to the management teams at each location to execute service.
  • Follow up with each host following their event to deliver gratitude and get feedback. Leave the door open for future repeat business.

Compensation:

  • Base salary $30,000 annually
  • Commission on new sales - 3% of Food and Beverage (new sales constitutes business from clients who have not held an event with JTR Group within the last 3 years)
  • Commission on repeat sales - 2% of Food and Beverage (repeat sales constitutes business from clients who have held an event with JTR Group within the last 3 years)
