Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to staff located at the port
  • Accounts payable voucher approval
  • Accounts receivable cash application approval
  • Maintaining fixed assets program – add, changes, transfers, disposals and reconcile to balance sheet
  • Month-end:
    • Journal entries
    • Financial statements review and preparation
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Complete net operating profit by customer
  • Reconcile depreciation reports with balance sheet
  • Labor to revenue analysis by department
  • Tracking of legal expenses
  • Personal property returns
  • Budget
  • CPI increases on leases (if needed)
  • Provide audit and tax information as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years progressive finance business experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Experienced in month-end close process
  • Experience with oversight and coaching of various team members
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Well versed in excel
  • Thrive working in a collaborative environment that is ever changing
  • Must be able to obtain TWIC badge (Transportation Working Identification Credential).

  • Result-oriented, proactive, and possesses a high level of integrity.
  • Strong technical capabilities and systems skills (NetSuite, PowerBI, PC, AS400, LeaseQuery, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
